Elliott Cox is a cousin of our Wheelchairs Trust Chairman Larry Murray. He will be speaking about his journey battling cancer, the complications that went with fighting one of the world’s deadliest diseases, and how he went from being a semi-professional athlete studying a double degree of Law and International Business, to becoming the sickest person in the whole of Australia and New Zealand. He will explain his trials and tribulations and what life looks now after receiving a double lung transplant. |

Who will be this year's winner of the Lutzy Award? This award is in honour of our former member Keith Lutz, who was also a leading identity in the Surf Life Saving movement. It will be presented to an emerging teenage leader, nominated by the Surfers Paradise SLSC. The award is in the form of a fully-fledged Surf Ski. Graeme Isaacson has again negotiated with the caterers for a super low cost. For just $15.00 you'll get a hearty breakfast of Bacon & Eggs or a bowl of Acai. Bookings have now closed. You are most welcome to attend, but if you'd like breakfast, you'll need to order it downstairs at the bistro. (Image is from last year's presentation to Pieta Jackson) |

He examined just shy of 1 Million calls for service for the south side of Brisbane between 2004 and 2011. OK, there is a bit more to the story... |

Vanessa Jansen is the Membership Chair of our District 9640 and also a member of the highly successful Rotary Club of Gold Coast Corporate. Her main topic will be membership development (of course), particularly corporate membership. Whilst we already have been successful in attracting corporate members ourselves, there is always something one can learn from one of the leaders in this field. |
