Golf Day is less than two weeks away, on 30th October 2023. This is one of our major fundraising days so we need “all hands on deck”, especially with the selling of raffle tickets. There are over $3000.00 in prizes!!!! For the golfers there is a Trybooking site set up so nominate your teams today.
The next board meeting is on 8th November 2023 at the Surf Club at 7.00 am. Some of the members were going to be away on the previously advised date.
Graeme Isaascon has organised the Xmas breakfast again at Marina Mirage, on Wednesday 20th December 2023. A Trybooking site will be set up shortly.
On a very sad note, on behalf of the club, I would like to send our deepest sympathies to Gerald and Margaret East on the passing of their daughter Kim. Thanks Franz for notifying all the members.

Two years ago, the Australian Government announced it would scrap the diesel submarine contract with France and instead collaborate with the UK and US on the next generation nuclear submarine under what has become known as the AUKUS. This seemed to catch a lot of people by surprise, but the reality is slightly different. So why did Australia take this major strategic step?
Nigel Hennessey has sat on over 50 boards and committees during his extensive career. Board roles have included executive director, non-executive director and chair for ASX listed companies; private companies in Australia, USA and Hong Kong; and Not for Profits in Australia. He has also sat on a number of Government boards and committees in the UK, Australia and Fiji covering a range of topics from Defence and Taxis through to Land Titles.
