Saludos miembros, asociadas, asociados, amigas y amigos,
A short but sharp working bee at the Project Shed last Saturday saw boxed wheelchairs moved into a container for storage pending eventual distribution. This will now allow a WH&S audit and plan update to be completed as part of the Project Shed lease renewal process. It was heartening to see a strong roll-up of members, as there were more hands on-deck than were actually needed.
Special shout out to Charles and Doug for organising today's annual Golf Day at the Surfers Paradise Golf Club.
A full report on the event will be provided at this Wednesday's breakfast meeting.

We help all young people and their families in the Gold Coast Region who may be marginalised, disadvantaged or homeless.
We had a great Surfers Sunrise Golf Day last Monday, at the Surfers Paradise Golf Club, in perfect sunny weather. The winning team: Tim Crouck, Cooper Stevenson, Aiden Pennell and Lincoln Grant. (apologies if the spelling is incorrect - their handwriting on the score card is rather "professional" (as in doctor, lawyer... ☺) Congratulations! And a big Thank You! to the organisers Doug Lipp and Charles Thomasson, all the helpers and the generous donors of prizes.
More details in next week's edition. Sorry for the bulletin being late today, but I didn't want to publish before the final results were out.
Big working bee on Saturday to move completed wheelchairs from the shed into an outside container. Other than simply making more space inside the shed, this is required so a proper Workplace Health & Safety Audit can be carried out.
A big Thank You! to all the associates and members who attended (too many to mention individually - you know who you are, give yourself a pat on the back!) Mario Fairly is again organising the purchase of the ever-popular Rotary Christmas cakes for our members, associate members and friends. And even if I say so myself: they are YUMMY!

Don't be worried about your smartphone or TV spying on you. Your vacuum cleaner has been collecting dirt on you for years.
I know that politics should be kept out of Rotary. But the other day, I overheard two guys arguing:
"But the government has a mandate..."
"A mandate is not a law. It is two men going out to dinner together"... [I'll see myself out...]
